Frequently Asked Questions
Whether it is your first time shipping a car in Canada or you just need some clarification on a few points, we are here to help. We've compiled this FAQ to address many frequently asked questions while preparing vehicles for auto transport. If you have any additional FAQ or concerns, please get in touch with our team. We are more than happy to chat about your transportation requirements.
Do you provide door-to-door enclosed transport service?
We prefer door-to-door car deliveries for most service calls and event requests. Local shipments are completed in our shorter, residential friendly tow trucks, for most services. Your vehicle will be picked up and dropped off at or near any locations you designate.
Long-distance car shipments are serviced with longer highway trucks and potentially require more space for loading and unloading.
Please ensure to note any very specific directions or current construction issues in your area to prevent any delayed services. If upon arrival, direct access is restricted during pickup or delivery, our driver will contact you to arrange for service at a nearby location.

Do you ship non-running and project vehicles?
Transportation of vehicles that are inoperable but still rolling/movable is possible. Most of our auto transporters are equipped with a winch to load vehicles. The majority of modern sports cars have tow hooks installed in the front/rear for easy winch-on service. Please ensure all specialty vehicles have clearly marked tow points or discuss owner-approved and manufacture-approved tow points with the driver at time of loading.
Over the years of providing service to our specialized transport clients, we are proud to bring multiple pieces of unique equipment to the industry. Accurately describe the condition at the time of booking to ensure the correct truck is dispatched for your service call.
How far out do you schedule transport service?
Typically, most bookings are made 1-2 weeks out, pending clients' preferred dates and current truck schedules. Our drivers will require someone present at the locations provided during booking to sign for inspections and release the vehicle. If someone is unable to be present at any of the points of service, please contact us to discuss options specific to your service call.
Do you guarantee any Rush / Same Day services?
Along with additional expenses, urgent and rush bookings are only available pending each specific truck's current schedules. This includes roadside service calls, local towing around Calgary & area, as well as long-distance service calls within our service areas. We would be pleased to help with any odd hour or expedited shipments, for any dealerships and clients, that require short notice transportation for towing, service & warranty, events, and corporate relocations.

Does my vehicle stay clean during enclosed transport?
Our drivers take pride in offering a clean, safe, and scratch-free service for your vehicle. Before your vehicle is loaded, our driver will thoroughly inspect your vehicle at the time of pickup including photos of current condition, a vehicle condition report (PDF), along with a legal Bill of Lading (BOL, see below). Once you have signed the inspection/BOL, our driver then installs clean protective covers, such as floor mats, seat covers, and steering wheel covers, on every vehicle.
- Clear Plastic Steering Wheel, Seat, and Floor Covers: INCLUDED at no charge
- Clear Plastic Car Covers: AVAILABLE for $40/cover
- Allowed to cover: If vehicles with clean paint and windows, customers may opt to have covers installed during enclosed transports. Customers who choose to provide car covers may leave them in the cargo or passenger areas and request that they be used during transport.
- Shouldn't cover: Vehicles that contain dust, dirt, contaminants, or moisture should not be covered during transport. Vibrations from the roads will cause dust and dirt contaminants to rub and scuff the paint. Moisture on vehicles has the potential to freeze the cover directly to the car surface during transport in cold weather conditions, potentially causing paint damage to your vehicle.
Can we send personal and household items with our vehicle?
- Vehicles not crossing any international borders; small personal items or vehicle-related items may be left inside the cargo area.
- Vehicles that are crossing any international borders; all items inside the vehicle must be declared on customs paperwork. Any goods not declared risk seizure of the vehicle and contents by customs officials at the time of crossing.
- Ensure all contents are secured properly for transport.
- Keep the driver's field of vision clear, front, back and side to side, eliminating any obstructions inside the cabin of your vehicle.
- Weapons, alcohol, illegal, and/or dangerous goods are NOT permitted.
We are not responsible for loss or damage to any loose items, or any damage that may be caused to the vehicle during transport as a result of these items shifting. Our insurance does not cover any items not specifically related to the vehicle.
Is my vehicle covered by insurance?
As expected, this is the most common FAQ from our clients and even something to consider with our 'competitors quotes'. As required by Canadian Motor Vehicle Transport Act, 1985, (CanLII) regulations, legal motor carriers and transport companies must;
- insure your cargo during transport (Cargo Insurance with Auto Endorsement).
- insure their business for operations during transport (General Commercial Liability, GCL).
- provide a completed and signed Bill of Lading (BOL) at the time of pickup and delivery (Binding your freights ownership to the company for legal transport).
- be a registered, legal carrier following National Safety Council (NSC) and provincial regulations and guidelines.
- have a properly identified truck will have visible company markings, registered weight and safety decals to display their commercial trucks legal information.
We carry numerous insurance policies to ensure that in the event of a major accident or damage to your vehicle, you are covered. Our policies include but are not limited to $2,000,000 High Value Commercial Cargo Coverage as well as $2,000,000 Commercial General Liability Coverage at all times. If your vehicle's value exceeds $2 million for appraised insured replacement costs, please contact us to discuss additional insurance riders (endorsements), if required.
